Six Countries confirmed for Beach Volleyball

ORANJESTAD, Aruba, October 28, 2007.- The Nineteenth NORCECA
Congress concluded in the capital of Aruba as a complete success,
stated Mr. Cristobal Marte, President of the institution before
leaving towards Japan.
During the last day of the meeting, it was informed the
confirmation of six stops for the upcoming NORCECA Beach
Volleyball Circuit. Those hosting countries are Dominican
Republic, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago and
Netherlands Antilles.
Mr. Roosevelt Comarazamy, the NORCECA Press Officer, reported
about the press management during the Girl’s and Boy’s Youth World
Championships in Mexicali and Tijuana and the exposure obtained in
the media by volleyball during the complete month of August.
Also the delegates from 32 countries were informed about the
organization process of the Pre-Olympic Continental Tournaments to
be held in Monterrey, Mexico (Women) in December and Caguas,
Puerto Rico (Men) next January.
It was also reported on the organization’s stage of the Third
Men’s Pan American Cup in Canada and the Seventh Women’s Pan
American Cup in Mexicali and Tijuana, Mexico next year as well as
the Youth Girl’s and Boy’s Continental Championships in Puerto
Rico and USA and the Junior’s Championships for Women in Saltillo,
Mexico and the Men in El Salvador.
During the Nineteenth NORCECA Congress, dedicated in honour of
Jacques Joachim and Ramon Rico and the late Rafael Hosein, the
National Federation of Mexico was designated as the Most
Outstanding of NORCECA for the past two years. Also were
recognized the NF of Canada and Dominican Republic.
